While Feist may have gotten a bit of a bad rep lately due to oversaturation of the market after that first iPod ad, it bears noting that she’s still quite the impressive little singer/songwriter in the indie scene.  While I find her fans a bit too sceney and clueless, I don’t believe an artist should be judged by the general lameness of their fans.  Feist is an average to above-average indie star, and as such I believe she deserves some cred.

So, in an effort to show my ambivalence (with a slight leaning toward affection) for the femme fatale, here is a rather solid Feist performance from the Colbert Report.  Also, props to Colbert for realizing that musical guests could easily become a viable portion of his show.  This shows a different side of Feist for those who only know her from those iPod commercials.
