In breaking from the music video trend, here is a video interview with Jamie Lidell.

C/O Pitchfork TV:

“If Otis Redding was a white British dude with a sampler, he’d be Jamie Lidell– circa 2006. But on his new LP, Jim, Lidell’s ditched electro for a classic Motown sound. He talks with Pitchfork’s Nitsuh Abebe about the new direction and dances on tables in the lobby of his New York hotel. “

I really enjoy this interview because the Pitchfork guy is so into it, and Jamie Lidell is so incredibly over it.  He continues to somewhat silently mock his interviewer throughout the questioning, while pointing out some of the b.s. of the music industry.  All in all, it’s a really solid interview.  Give it a look.
