That rascally rock star is at it again! Noel Gallagher is now claiming rap doesn’t belong at Gastonbury.  This time the plucky member of Oasis has chimed in with his opinion that hip-hop act Jay-Z is the reason tickets to Glastonbury have not  yet sold out.

This is taken directly from the BBC:

“[Gallagher] said it was ‘wrong’ to have a hip-hop headliner and added that organisers had changed things too much. “

And this is Gallagher’s direct quote:

“Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go ‘Kylie Minogue?’ I don’t know about it. But I’m not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It’s wrong.”

Is it just me or does this just make Noel Gallagher sound even more like a whiney, out-of-touch fossil of the 90s than he already did?  It seems like he’s just popping off to keep his name in the papers so he can tell people about Oasis’s new record (which the article mentions toward the bottom).  Does anyone with half a brain really care about the seventh record by Oasis?  If so, get that half a brain checked out, because I don’t think it’s working right.
