You read it right. Coachella this year is going to suck. Hard. Seriously. Unless they start handing out free booze at the beer garden, there is no hope for the festival this year. At this point, your jaw may be slacked. It’s possible I could knock you over with a feather. It’s also entirely possible that you’re thinking to yourself, “How could this happen? Coachella is awesome!”

Unfortunately friends, this year you are wrong. Though I have been a patron of Coachella and have enjoyed her many festivities and convivialities as much as the next festie, I just can’t get into the line-up this year. If you don’t want to take my word for it, then just check out the Official Line-Up for the show. It’s terrible. The headliners are bad. The undercard is full of bands I can see in SoCal for like 10-20 bucks a pop. It’s just not the same.

This is supposed to be the festival that brought us headliners like Radiohead, Daft Punk, Bjork, and New Order. This year we have Roger Waters, Jack Johnson, and Portishead. Fail, fail, and FAIL. Totally unacceptable. And again, the undercard is full of bands I can see cheaper, or that I’ve already seen before. I’d advise anyone to save their money unless some huge names turn up on the poster.
