AngryApe has dropped more knowledge on the Del the Funky Homosapien solo joint. They’ve got the track list to add the the first track they leaked not long ago from Del’s forthcoming Eleventh Hour. The track, Bubble Pop, has been floating around and garnering mostly mixed reviews. If you like your Funky Homosapien extremely funky, then you will be quite pleased to hear the first track, and you’ll likely be hoping that every other track sounds just as throwback bootyshakin’ as this first cut. However, if you like your Del with some Tron thrown in for good measure, as guided by Dan the Automator, then this track likely won’t do it for you.

I’m not gonna lie. The track didn’t do much for me. It’s fun. It’s a nice little party song. The chorus is lame, and I could have done without it altogether. But beyond that, can we discuss the fact that Del’s first solo record in like eight years is coming our amid the swirls of rumors of a Deltron reunion record? And now with the fake Coachella posters featuring Deltron 3030 on the line-up, more fuel has been added to the fire that Dan the Automator may soon be lending his talents to the Funky on again. If this is true, then that’s the record to get excited about. Deltron was a marriage made in heaven. For some reason, Dan brought out the best in Del, and I hope he can do it again soon.
